Buenos Aires, March 7 (NA) -- The Argentine Federal Police (PFA) joined the tribute held this Saturday in memory of Interpol agents who fell in the line of duty. As part of this event, the iconic Obelisk in Buenos Aires was illuminated in a corresponding blue color. According to the Argentine News Agency (NA), the tribute aims to honor all police officers who, under any flag and from diverse cultures, "gave their lives for their calling," the PFA stated in a press release. "To make this commemoration visible, Interpol suggested that emblematic sites and monuments around the world be illuminated in the traditional police blue color," the note adds. In this context, the PFA, as a member of the International Criminal Police Organization (ICPO – Interpol), promoted the illumination of the traditional Buenos Aires monument at the initiative of Chief Commissioner Luis Alejandro Rolle.
